George Dewey

George is a creative digital leader who has led efforts for ad agency McCann NY, rocket company SpaceX and movie studio 20th Century Fox. He began his career as a copywriting intern at ad agency McCann-Erickson NY where he went on to become the company’s youngest Executive Creative Director, leading the Verizon and U.S. Army accounts. From McCann, George jumped into the new space race at SpaceX, leading content creation and communications, reporting directly into CEO Elon Musk. Today he leads digital marketing for 20th Century Fox, creating campaigns for all Fox films including Deadpool, the biggest R-Rated movie of all time, David Fincher’s Gone Girl and the social media phenomenon The Fault in Our Stars. His creative work has garnered many awards including an Emmy but he has also earned an MBA from NYU Stern. In his spare time, he enjoys adventure travel. He has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, dog-sledded to the Ice Hotel in the Swedish Arctic, run the NY marathon and skydived with the U.S. Army Golden Knights. He is a born and bred New Yorker who is betraying his hometown by now happily living in Los Angeles. While his family bears no responsibility for the Dewey decimal system, he is the grandson of former three-term Governor of New York and two-time Presidential candidate Thomas E. Dewey.
